Meet the 'Dem Jeep Girls': Community, Customization, and Rubber Ducks!

Ever wondered about the vibrant world of Jeep clubs? We recently got an inside look into ‘Dem Jeep Girls,’ an all-women Jeep club that’s much more than just off-roading; it’s a powerful sisterhood making a difference.

A Sisterhood on Wheels

Founded on camaraderie and a shared passion for Jeeps, ‘Dem Jeep Girls’ isn’t just about hitting the trails. This club is deeply rooted in community service. They organize parades, host back-to-school events, distribute Thanksgiving baskets, give away blankets, and even adopt a school for Christmas. Beyond their charitable endeavors, the members enjoy riding together, embracing the weather, and competing in various Jeep shows, showcasing their custom builds and collective spirit.

Blue Ivy: A Jeep with Personality

One of the club’s proud members shared details about her own impressive ride. Her Jeep, affectionately named ‘Blue Ivy,’ is a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. It boasts a formidable 4-inch lift, complemented by massive 37-inch tires on 24-inch rims. The exterior is all blue, mirroring a sleek blue interior, punctuated with striking yellow accents. It’s a true reflection of the owner’s style and the club’s dedication to customization.

While some members, like our speaker, manage their duck collection to avoid an overly cluttered dashboard, others, like fellow Jeeper Nice, remove them entirely, sparking a playful debate about what it means to be a ‘real Jeeper’ – especially when it comes to taking off doors and tops!

Joining the Ranks: What It Takes

For those interested in joining ‘Dem Jeep Girls,’ the primary criterion is simple: you must be a girl. The club has been thriving for five years, celebrating with an annual anniversary party. They proudly represent members from both Illinois and Missouri, highlighting their regional influence. Interestingly, there are only two all-women Jeep clubs known, making ‘Dem Jeep Girls’ a unique and empowering group of nine members.

The ‘Monster’ Mindset

Our speaker’s journey into extensive Jeep modification was inspired by her fellow club members. She recalled pulling up to a meetup in her stock Jeep, only to see the impressive, modified vehicles of other ‘Dem Jeep Girls.’ That experience propelled her to transform ‘Blue Ivy’ into a
